EPISODE 38: CHRISTIAN LEMMERZ

Christian Lemmerz is a sculptor, visual and performance artist who rose to prominence in the mid 1980s as a pivotal member of the Danish artist collective, Værst. He has since garnered widespread recognition internationally for his large-scale marble sculptures and installation work - often depicting religious iconography and exploring themes of death, existence and identity.  He is the recipient of the coveted Thorvaldsen Medallion and a lifetime honorarium from the Danish National Art Council.
